How do patients feel about being diagnosed via video conferencing?

The pandemic proved that access to comprehensive health care is a concern for all.

But it’s especially difficult for those living in rural areas. They are more likely to have serious health conditions, wait longer for an appointment, and drive farther to see a health care provider.

Background

Our client, an integrated healthcare organization, wanted to understand patients’ feelings about a proposed new telehealth service.

Goal

Provide insights to guide product development

Methodology

We conducted in-situ testing in the organization’s innovation center, which housed a simulated home environment.

  • This allowed patients to experience the technology in a real-world setting.
  • Then we engaged in a roundtable discussion.

Result

Validation of this new product offering
